CNN legal analyst Randy Zelin, a defense attorney, told CNN anchor Kate Bolduan that he did not believe the prosecution had come anywhere close to meeting its burden in the hush-money trial against former President Donald Trump.
Bolduan set Zelin up for the question, noting that in every court case, the burden of proof rests on the prosecution — and the prosecutor’s ability to prove the case “beyond a reasonable doubt” to the jury.
