CNN senior legal analyst and New York Magazine columnist Elie Honig blasted Democrats for trying to remove former President Donald Trump from the ballot, saying that the effort was “doomed to fail” from the start and it will only help him moving forward.
The Supreme Court issued a ruling on Monday that determined the state of Colorado cannot remove former President Donald Trump from the primary ballot using Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The ruling was 9-0.
Honig said the notion that Trump could be removed was nothing more than a “wild law-school hypothetical sprung to life” which will now provide Trump “with fuel for his effort to win back the White House.”
