Was there any more desperate moment during the 2024 presidential campaign than when comedian Tony Hinchcliffe took the stage at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in late October and told a joke about Puerto Rico? It wasn’t the joke that was desperate, of course, but the left’s reaction to it. They are so utterly without humor that they blamed a comedian for telling a joke.
As a reminder, here’s what Hinchcliffe said:
“There’s a lot going on. Like, I don’t know if you know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,” Hinchcliffe said on stage Sunday, eliciting mixed reactions from the crowd.
