You may recall Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) doing a fake 25-hour filibuster in the Senate not too long ago.
What did it achieve? Well, frankly…nothing. But hey, he could say it was the longest floor speech and he did it. What does it matter if it resulted in nothing, he really, really felt it! If he was hoping that it would give him a big bump nationally, it doesn’t seem to have done that either.
