Several GOP senators are throwing out a familiar name to take over Marco Rubio’s Senate seat should he be confirmed as Secretary of State: the president-elect’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
The wife of Trump’s second son, Eric, Lara has been co-chair of the Republican National Committee since March of 2024 and just helped ensure Donald’s landslide win. It seems as if some were impressed with her performance:
