John Leguizamo is the kind of person who thinks political comedy is just ranting at someone with excessive amounts of swear words. On Thursday, Leguizamo stopped by Comedy Central and The Daily Show to claim that Republicans only want white people to vote by labeling GOP-backed election laws “bullshit.”
Leguizamo was specifically ranting against the SAVE Act, but what he was saying could just as easily be applied to any state-level law when he recalled, “Just so everyone’s up to speed, what this bill does is require everyone to register with documentation proving citizenship, like a passport or a birth certificate.”
