The concerns raised by IRS whistleblowers regarding the years-long investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes (or lack of an investigation, actually) have been piling up now for weeks. Merrick Garland has been pushing back, of course, claiming that there’s nothing to see here so everyone should just accept the sweetheart deal the First Son is poised to receive and simply move along. Also accused of slow-walking the case is Delaware US Attorney David Weiss. But it turns out that Weiss recently penned a letter to the House Judiciary Committee in which he denied the allegations made by the whistleblowers and supported Garland’s assertion that he had “ultimate authority” over the investigation and handled it properly.
