Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) wrote a Sept. 17 letter to the CEOs of Meta, Alphabet (Google), X, Discord and Twitch. The lawmakers aimed to “express our persisting concerns about the spread of election-related disinformation on your platforms” this election year and urged the companies “to prioritize taking decisive action, including bolstering content moderation resources,” or, in other words, censor users.
