As the second Trump administration and the Republican-controlled Congress hit the ground running, the Democratic Party has a brutal net approval rating of -26, a new poll from Quinnipiac revealed on Wednesday.
The poll, which surveyed over 1,000 registered voters from January 23-27, found that only 31% of respondents have a favorable view of the Democratic Party while 57% have an unfavorable view. Among independents, the numbers get worse, as only 22% have a favorable view of the Democratic Party.
The Republican Party was also in the net negative favorability rating, but nowhere close to as far underwater as the Democrats. The Republicans hold a 43% favorable rating while 45% of respondents had an unfavorable opinion of the GOP, according to the poll. Thirty-six percent of independents view the GOP favorably.
