Florida Governor Ron DeSantis backed Texas Governor Greg Abbott this week as he fights against the Biden administration to secure Texas’ border with Mexico to stop millions of illegal aliens from flooding into his state.
DeSantis’ statement comes after the U.S. Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration this week, ruling that it could cut through or remove sections of razor wire that the Texas National Guard has placed along the border to stop illegal immigration.
“If the Constitution really made states powerless to defend themselves against an invasion, it wouldn’t have been ratified in the first place and Texas would have never joined the union when it did,” DeSantis wrote on X. “TX is upholding the law while Biden is flouting it. FL will keep assisting Texas with personnel and assets.”
