Dolly Parton Show Heads To Kennedy Center As They Usher In ‘Golden Age Of The Arts’

A musical show about Dolly Parton will be coming to The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The venue has been making headlines in recent weeks due to the shakeup there following the re-election of President Trump. While some artists are refusing to perform in protest of Trump’s leadership, other major names like Parton are signing on, which is part of the plan to usher in the “Golden Age of the Arts.”

The concert, which premiered in Nashville last year, is called “Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony.”

“The threads of my life are woven together through my songs. That’s why the project, Threads: My Songs In Symphony, is so special to me,” Parton said in the Kennedy Center’s announcement of the show. “It’s about sharing my music and my musical journey with audiences in a new way.”
