Kamala Harris is in her first days as the presumptive Democrat nominee for president, and already her media enablers are furious anyone would call her a “DEI hire” (racist slur!) or the “border czar” assigned to reduce illegal immigration (as the media reported in 2021). What was accurate is now deemed inaccurate.
President Biden himself hailed Harris as his DEI pick. In a speech President Biden made to an NAACP event, he proclaimed: “The values of diversity, equity and inclusion are the core strength of America. That’s why I’m proud to have the most diverse administration in history to tap into the full talents of our country. And it starts at the top with the Vice President.” They presume Republicans are saying Kamala’s unqualified. Republicans are saying qualifications weren’t the primary consideration.
