President Donald Trump and Elon Musk held a press conference from the Oval Office on Musk’s last official day as a “special government employee” dealing with DOGE. While he is no longer officially working on it, the two assured everyone that he would still provide advice to Trump. Trump went to great lengths to thank him for all he has done, said Musk was not going away, and DOGE would continue, and that Musk made great contributions. Musk said he hoped DOGE would become a way of life.
The two also took some questions from reporters, including Elon and Trump both delivering powerful condemnations of judicial overreach.
