It is a sign of the times that when the Pravda Media tells us something, we automatically assume that the claim is suspect.
It’s not that the media always lies; it’s just that we know that they are perfectly willing to do so. The classic example is the “fine people” hoax, in which the media knew they were lying because they manipulated the video themselves. They didn’t rely on “sources,” as they did with the “suckers and losers” hoax; they perpetrated the hoax themselves.
Jake Tapper was one of the biggest spreaders of the Fine People Hoax. He spread that lie dozens of times.

Tapper was just one of many who sliced and diced the video to push a provably false narrative. So don’t tell me that “groupthink”…
