Since it’s Super Tuesday, all of you political addicts out there will want to keep up with how the general election matchups take shape. Here are some of the races for state seats on the east coast that we’ll be keeping eye on. At the bottom of the post there will be the usual widgets where you can check the results at your leisure.
Alabama House District 1
This race became interesting because of the recent redistricting decisions rendered in Alabama. District 2 should be a cakewalk for the Democrats given the way it was mapped out, but the changes left two Republican incumbents fighting for the seat in District 1. Jerry Carl (R) and Barry Moore (R), are running against each other. The Cook Political Report ranks the 1st District as R +28, making it one of the most conservative districts in the nation.
