Believe it or not, “free speech” used to mean something. It begins with the word “free” for a reason. The phrase has no exceptions, despite what Deutschland’s thought police egged on by CBS believe. It’s why you won’t find an asterisk next to our U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment, listing exceptions for “hate speech” or “misinformation.”
America’s founding fathers knew placing that discretion in the hands of our future leaders, no matter what they believed, would reset their experiment of a liberty-based constitutional republic back to the dictatorship they freed us from.
