When an American political campaign is imploding to the point where even the British media is pointing it out, you know things are getting bad. Granted, the American presidential election has global implications; the United States is, despite the efforts of generations of Democrats, the most powerful nation on the planet. We’re the big guys, the industrial-scale butt-kickers, and when we’re in the process of electing the new leader of the free world, our foes and allies alike pay attention. America’s allies, if they have any sense at all (in some cases that assumes facts not in evidence), have to be looking at the prospect of a Kamala Harris administration with no small amount of concern.
