When Judge John J. McConnell, Jr., of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, issued a temporary restraining order on January 31, 2025, ending President Trump’s temporary freeze of federal grants, he looked just like any of the other leftist judges hopping on the I-hate-Trump bandwagon.
