Federal Judge Issues Stay of Trump’s Funding Freeze – RedState

Despite Trump’s best efforts to rein in federal spending and hold agencies accountable for the use of their funds for federal loans, grants, and non-profit assistance, a federal judge has halted the forward momentum of these endeavors spearheaded through Trump’s executive order.





A U.S. judge on Tuesday temporarily paused part of the Trump administration’s sweeping directive to pause federal loans, grants and other financial assistance, granting a win to advocacy groups who said the policy would be devastating.

U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan ordered the Trump administration not to block funding to existing programs until Feb. 3 at a hearing in Washington, D.C., federal court.
