It’s rather amazing, the lengths to which some people will go to ensure that mediocre biologically male athletes retain the option to claim to be women and become outstanding female athletes. It’s probably not even an 80-20 issue that the pro-dudes-in-women’s-sports contingent is on the wrong side of; it’s probably more like a 95-5 issue. But they are sure keeping up the fight to allow this hideously unfair practice, not least of all in Maine, where Governor Janet Mills has been openly defiant.
