Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) triggered Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Friday when he criticized a congressional hearing during which she recently made news after she got into a verbal spat with other female lawmakers.
Fetterman commented on the childish drama that unfolded yesterday on the House Oversight Committee when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got in a verbal altercation after Crockett insulted Greene’s intelligence and Greene responded by insulting her appearance.
The incident quickly escalated from there, with other members getting involved, including AOC.
“In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show,” Fetterman posted on X. “Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show.”
