Michael Bennet didn’t mean that as a brag, either. Joe Biden appeared to have finally tamped down a Democrat mutiny yesterday after making it clear he wouldn’t withdraw from the presidential race. Nor could Democrats come up with any rational process by which to replace him … or even a candidate who could save them from the trainwreck that would result.
Democrats are essentially stuck with Biden if he won’t do the honorable thing — not that Joe has done much that could be called honorable in his career. Having caught a big whiff of the FO that followed the party’s FA in preventing any meaningful primary challenge, the Colorado Democrat told CNN that Biden would likely lead them into the biggest political box canyon in 40 years:
