No doubt the left is going to have a hissy fit, but President Trump’s order to send up to 30,000 of the worst violent criminal aliens is neither unprecedented nor unduly cruel.
Believe it or not, President Clinton used Guantanamo Bay to house up to 200,000 Cubans and Haitians during his term. They, too, were claiming asylum, and while they never made it to the shores of the United States, the detention was vastly larger than what Trump plans to do.
Trump says he’s going to use Guantanamo Bay to detain the absolute worst criminal illegal aliens.
Biden freed terrorists from there and tried shutting it down. Trump is using it to detain terrorists.
