As reported earlier, “squad member” Rep. Jamaal Bowman lost his primary race against George Latimer in New York’s 16th district. Latimer considers himself a moderate Democrat, in contrast to Bowman, who vouches for leftist policies such as the Green New Deal. This was a hotly contested race and the most expensive House primary in the history of the United States.
Bowman did everything possible to hold this seat, going as far as calling Latimer a racist and a MAGA candidate. Bowman even brought out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in an attempt to revive his campaign, but it didn’t work, and now, the GOP is having a field day with Bowman’s loss.
