Hall of Famer Randy Moss will take an extended leave from his analyst role on “Sunday NFL Countdown” after he revealed that he’s dealing with some kind of health battle.
“Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss will step away from ‘Sunday NFL Countdown’ for an extended time to focus on a personal health challenge,” a statement from ESPN on Friday read.
“He [Moss] briefly addressed the matter at the start of the show on Dec. 1,” it added. “For nearly a decade, Randy has been an invaluable member of the team, consistently elevating Countdown with his insight and passion. He has ESPN’s full support, and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready.”
Several days ago, the former Minnesota Vikings standout asked fans to pray for him and his family as he’s dealing with a health issue, without explaining further.
