Actor Bradley Whitford, known in part for his role in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” has issued a public plea for Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to speak out against President Donald Trump.
The 65-year-old actor spoke with Variety about his turmoil, including his opinion that the United States is turning into the fictional world of Gilead under the Trump administration. “It’s interesting,” he told the outlet in an interview published Tuesday. “Especially when you look at all the people who I’ve worked for over the years lined up at the Trump inauguration, staying silent while their daughters’ rights are being torn away.”
