As RedState previously reported, the “60 Minutes” interview with Vice President Kamala Harris dropped Monday night after cringe video teasers were released earlier in the day. Surprisingly, it was fairly hard-hitting, with the interviewer, CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker, not letting Harris off the hook so easily when she did her typical dodge-and-weave act.
For instance, when Whitaker asked her why Biden-Harris didn’t embrace a “crackdown on asylum seekers” in 2021 instead of waiting until a presidential election year to do so, Harris tried to blame Congress and her opponent, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. Whitaker continued to press her on the point, though, noting that “there was an historic flood of undocumented immigrants coming across the border the first three years of your administration.”
