Herschel Walker Reminds Pastor Raphael Warnock ‘There’s A Baby In That Room As Well’ On Abortion Question During Debate

Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker hammered Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) during the candidates’ first and only debate Friday after Warnock answered a question on abortion.

Warnock, the pastor of a progressive Baptist church in Atlanta, dodged giving a direct answer to a question from the moderator who asked him if he believed there should be any clear limitations on abortion. The Democrat responded by repeating a pro-abortion argument that says a pregnant patient’s room doesn’t have enough space for her, her doctor, and the government.

“Did he not mention that there’s a baby in that room as well?” Walker asked. “But also did he not mention that he’s asking the taxpayer to pay for it? So he’s bringing the government back into the room.”

Mod to @SenatorWarnock @ReverendWarnock: do you believe there should be any limitations on abortion?

Warnock: I just feel like w/ the doc & the woman, the room is already full, lol.

. @HerschelWalker: I will remind the pastor that there is also a baby in the room.#GASenDebate pic.twitter.com/6mbzevEYEU

Walker’s pro-life response comes on the heels of a report alleging that the Republican candidate paid for a woman’s abortion over a decade ago. Walker’s son even took to social media to call his father a liar.

Walker denied the claims made against him about paying for a woman’s abortion and responded to his son, tweeting “I LOVE my son.”

The Georgia Senate race remains a toss up with the latest polling from the Trafalgar Group giving Warnock a one point lead. Earlier this week, Walker made headlines when he vowed to pay for those facing evictions from Warnock’s large church, which owns an apartment building.

The report, written by investigative reporter Andrew Kerr at The Washington Free Beacon, revealed that in addition to threatening evictions in the Columbia Tower at MLK Village in downtown Atlanta, Warnock’s church affords him a lavish housing allowance of $7,417 monthly.

“I have never known a preacher that likes abortion even after birth, won’t pay his child support and evicts poor people to the street,” Walker said. “I will pay the $4500 in past due rents listed in this news article to keep @ReverendWarnock from evicting these people.”
