Prepare to not be shocked. A House Ethics Committee investigation has concluded that Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) told a series of untruths related to his bizarre decision to set off a fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building last September. Nevertheless, the two-tier justice system is still in effect, and Bowman will receive a mere slap on the wrist for an offense that would result in a regular person being thrown in a cage.
After it was revealed that Bowman had pulled the stunt, it ignited a firestorm on the airwaves and interwebs. The situation became even more laughable when the lawmaker claimed he had accidentally pulled the alarm, believing it to be a switch to open the exit door.
