President Donald Trump held a meeting with his Cabinet secretaries and Elon Musk the other day.
As we reported, the media immediately pitched it as divisive, claiming there was disagreement between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Musk. Trump immediately scotched that story, saying he was there so he should know what went down in the meeting. Some of the media wanted to paint it as somehow Trump curtailing Musk. But it was always true that Musk could only make recommendations, and it’s up to the White House or the secretaries to do the actual cutting.
