Border Czar Tom Homan said during an interview over the weekend that the hundreds of arrests that federal immigration officers are making every day represent only the beginning of the Trump administration’s plans to remove the millions of illegal aliens that are in the United States.
Homan made the remarks during an interview that aired Sunday on ABC News’ “This Week” with Martha Raddatz.
“You’re going to see the numbers steadily increase, the number of arrests nationwide as we open up the aperture,” he said. “Right now, it’s concentrating on public safety threats, national security threats. That’s a smaller population.”
“So, we’re going to do this on priority basis, that’s President Trump’s promise,” he continued. “But as that aperture opens, there’ll be more arrests nationwide.”
