On Saturday, ICE arrested Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia student who just graduated with a Master’s Degree in December. Khalil had been a lead negotiator for Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD), the pro-Hamas group which took over a campus building last spring and which has been involved in other acts of vandalism and campus disruptions already this year.
Mahmoud Khalil, a graduate student at Columbia until this past December, was inside his university-owned apartment Saturday night when several Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents entered and took him into custody, his attorney, Amy Greer, told The Associated Press.
