A Guatemalan national in the country illegally was arrested by Utah police on Monday for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl, according to police records obtained by The Daily Wire.
Twenty-six-year-old Jonathan Estuardo Ruano Garcia is being held in the Utah County jail, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placed a detainer on him, the sheriff’s office told The Daily Wire.
Police documents said that on Sunday night, a mother returned to her apartment around 11:15 p.m., where her daughter was home alone. On the way in, she “observed an adult male leaving her apartment. The mother said the male made eye contact but then quickly walked away.”
When she entered the apartment, she found her daughter completely naked in the hallway, and “the 11-year-old girl told her mother that a male she met on the internet came to the apartment and had sex with her,” the police report…
