A Venezuelan national who crossed over the U.S. southern border illegally in 2022 went viral this month for urging migrants to come to America and illegally take over homes via squatting. He’s now reportedly wanted by federal authorities.
Leonel Moreno, according to the New York Post, was enrolled in a program called ATD, or the Alternatives to Detention. Instead of staying in a detention center near our border, Moreno, due to overcrowding, was given an ankle monitor and tracked by feds while he stayed in the U.S.
However, Moreno is now listed as an “absconder,” according to internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents viewed by the Post.
