Illinois Democratic Governor JB Pritzker refused to say over the weekend that it was wrong for Democrats to ignore the will of the voters and force President Joe Biden off the ticket because Democrats “weren’t feeling” good vibes from Biden’s campaign.
Pritzker made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked about comments made by former Biden chief of staff Ron Klain.
“I do think the president was pushed by public calls from elected officials for him to drop out, from donors calling him to drop out. And I think that was wrong,” Klain recently told CNN. “The president had won the nomination fair and square; 14 million people went and voted for him and the vice president as vice president.”
