The position of White House Press Secretary can’t be a heck of a lot of fun. You’re dealing with uncomfortable questions from people who would love to see you stumble and fail – unless you’re in a Democrat administration. But a good Press Secretary has to be bright, well-informed, and able to think on their feet. I’ve seen a few of these people in operation, beginning with Ron Ziegler. I’ve seen some good ones and some bad ones. Tony Snow was a good one. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was a good one. Jen Psaki was a bad one, even when you factor in that she was in the position of having to defend the indefensible.
Karine Jean-Pierre is worse. She’s not suited for the job; she’s dishonest, not particularly articulate, and is prone to fits of pique when she’s expected to answer difficult questions, which is her job. But on January 20th, she’ll be unemployed. What will…
