Iranian Dissident Attempting Dialogue About Israel Shut Down At Event By Screaming Pro-Palestinians

An Iranian woman who opposes the Islamic despotic regime in Iran, as millions of Iranians do, and was to engage in dialogue about Iranians connecting with Israelis, was prevented from speaking at an event in England when pro-Palestinian demonstrators screamed and would not let her speak.

Faezeh Alavi, an artist and PhD candidate at the University of St. Andrews, was speaking at a forum titled “From Conflict to Connection, Israelis and Iranians in Dialogue” at King’s College in London on Thursday night. At one point, Alavi spoke of Iranian dissidents who had raised the traditional lion and sun flag of Iran, not the Islamic flag that the theocratic regime had put in its place.

As she spoke of the flag, a pro-Palestinian activist started yelling at Alavi, shouting, “How can you talk about the flag being changed when you align yourself with Israelis?” The activist then launched…
