‘It’s Coming Back!’ The View Panics Over COVID, Whoopi Got It AGAIN

For the second time this year, The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg has contracted COVID-19 despite being vaccinated and boosted out the wazoo. Co-host Joy Behar announced the diagnosis at the start of Tuesday’s episode and kicked off a panicked discussion about how “it’s coming back” and “a lot of people aren’t getting that new booster.”

“Good morning, everyone. Hello and welcome to The View. Unfortunately, Whoopi is out with COVID,” Behar announced to groans from the liberal audience. “Yup. So rest up and get back here, Miss, when you feel better.”

In a concerned tone, she added: “It’s coming back! Another friend of mine got it, too, I mean we have to be careful again. Damn!”

Racist co-host Sunny Hostin lamented that “a lot of people aren’t getting that new booster” that covers “the different variety” of strains. “I got it a couple of months ago and I did get a reaction to it but it made me feel safer,” Hostin said, with Behar and co-host Sara Haines announcing their third boosters as well.

“Clap if you had your third booster,” Behar instructed the fully masked audience. As the camera panned out, it was clear that there were some in the audience not clapping.

Behar and Hostin commended those who got their third booster and urged others to get theirs too:

BEHAR: Very good! Smart.

HOSTIN: It’s worth it!

BEHAR: Smart.

HOSTIN: It’s worth it!

Back in September, Behar bragged about getting a total of five COVID shots. “I just got my third booster. I’ve been jabbed more than I was on my honeymoon,” she quipped to the roaring laughter of the audience and Haines. “I’ve had five shots. I mean, I haven’t gotten COVID yet.”

Behar added that her arm didn’t hurt after any receiving any of the shots, to which Haines chimed in asking: “What about the wedding night, did you hurt?”

SARA HAINES: Yeah. I just got mine.

HOSTIN: With the different variety—

BEHAR: I got mine.

HOSTIN: That one is – I got it a couple of months ago and I did get a reaction to it but it made me feel safer.

BEHAR: Is everyone eligible for it now? Or we have to be a certain age?

HOSTIN: Yeah.

HAINES: In New York, everyone is.

BEHAR [to the audience]: Clap if you had your third booster.

[Applause]
