It’s Over: Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen Reportedly To File Divorce Papers Today

It’s over.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen will officially file for divorce on Friday and have reached a settlement, according to a report.

“Our sources say lawyers for both Gisele and Tom have been working with a mediator to hammer out both property settlement and custody, and we’re told they have come to terms,” TMZ reported.

On Thursday night, for the first time in 20 years, Brady lost a third consecutive game.

After Brady missed two weeks of training camp in the summer, he confessed, “It’s all personal. … You know, everyone has different situations they’re dealing with and we all have unique challenges to our lives … I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s*** going on, so you just have to try and figure out life the best you can. You know, it’s a continuous process.”

Speculation has surged for weeks that Brady and his wife would call it quits.

In an interview with Elle published September 13, Bundchen stated, “Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present. I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

“I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom],” she continued. “I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy.”

“At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that,” she concluded. “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do,” she said. “At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.”

On October 20, Brady insisted he would not retire, declaring, “I love the sport and I love the teammates, and I wanna go do a great job for this team like I always have. So, no retirement in my future. I think anytime you lose, it’s not very fun for any of us. So I think we just gotta go play better. I think that’s the reality to solving a lot of issues.”

“I’ve definitely been a part of seasons where we’ve not played as well as we’re capable; I don’t think it’s as enjoyable for anyone,” he continued. “We’re certainly not happy when it’s not right. So we’re working hard to get it right. It’s Week 6, we’re going into Week 7, there’s a lot of football. Our whole season’s ahead of us.”
