Jack Smith’s Special Counsel Report Reveals Final Chapter of DOJ’s Trump Investigation – RedState

In a sweeping 174-page report released Tuesday, recently-resigned Special Counsel Jack Smith provided Volume 1 of his account of the Department of Justice’s unsuccessful prosecutions of former President Donald Trump while defending the massive costs and controversial decisions made during the investigation.





The report reveals that Smith’s office spent over $36 million by March 2024 alone:

“$20 million from a permanent indefinite appropriation and an additional $16 million from other DOJ components.”

The total cost to taxpayers for the full investigation remains undisclosed.
