Former President Donald Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery on Aug. 26, to honor the memory of the 13 brave, young servicemembers who were killed at the Abbey Gate terrorist bombing in Afghanistan three years before.
Joe Biden was at the beach. Kamala Harris was in town but couldn’t be bothered. So you had the image of Trump doing what they should have been doing–supporting the families.
As we reported, there seemed to be an effort on the left to go into overdrive to take a kind, supportive gesture by Trump and turn it into a scandal. When it wasn’t about politics but supporting the families, the left then made it about politics. There was a story about an altercation with Trump staff during the visit, but the families said they didn’t see any such thing.
