President Biden had his big moment in Pointe du Hoc, France on Friday. He stood where Ronald Reagan stood 40 years ago, with the cliffs as background.
It was to be Biden’s Gipper moment. He was supposed to look as presidential as Reagan did when Reagan commemorated the 40th anniversary of D-Day. It was hyped as a speech about democracy, which you would think would be easy for an American president to deliver.
