“The View” cohost Joy Behar claimed that she could never have a beer with former President George W. Bush because she worried that she might actually like him — and she argued that might prevent her from being able to be as critical of him as she should.
Behar raised the issue as she and her cohosts on ABC’s “The View” discussed the post-election meeting between President-elect Donald Trump and the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” — and Scarborough’s vociferous defense of that meeting.
While Behar admitted that dialogue was important, she complained that in Trump’s case, being willing to sit down and talk with him could have the effect of “normalizing” him.
