I was a bit surprised to see that Kamala Harris announced that 100 police officials were supporting her campaign.
To my mind, it was a pretty weak entry into the endorsement race–sort of like announcing that Bush and Romney interns supported her over Trump. But there it was:

It was hardly persuasive stuff. No prominent names. In the announcement from the Harris campaign they don’t even name or quote a single one of them. It was just “100+” law enforcement officials. There are over 700,000 such people in the US. You would think they could find one or two more who would be willing to be quoted in a release.
Now I know why they did this weak preemptive strike:
