Vice President Kamala Harris has taken a number of former President Donald Trump’s policy positions on the campaign trail in an apparent effort to distract from her far-left record.
Though Harris’ campaign website does not include any policy positions, the presumptive Democratic nominee has begun echoing her opponent in speeches and ads.
On Saturday, Harris told a crowd in Las Vegas that if elected she would abolish a tax on tips for service and hospitality workers, a policy Trump first proposed in June. Harris even used the tagline “no tax on tips,” which Trump has been repeating for months. Harris was in Las Vegas to receive the endorsement of the Nevada Culinary Union, which had previously endorsed Trump’s “no tax on tips” proposal.
