Liberal comedian Bill Maher said that Democrats had no excuses for their resounding losses during this week’s elections and that the party had to take a long look in the mirror to find out what went wrong.
Maher made the remarks on his HBO “Real Time” show Friday evening while discussing the outcome of the election with ABC News contributor Sarah Isgur, MSNBC analyst John Heilemann, and actor Michael Douglas.
“My message to the losers: losers look in the mirror,” Maher said during his opening monologue as his audience went silent. “No? Well, maybe you should. Well, that’s my feeling. Losers look in the mirror.”
“For months Democrats have been saying, ‘How is this even close?’ and they’re right, it wasn’t,” Maher said.
He added, “This country has had enough of the anti-common-sense woke bullshit.”
