We’ve seen Kamala Harris trying to duck reporters and avoid giving any real answers to questions since she was handed the Democratic nomination. She’s done one interview since then — with the aid of her emotional support governor — Tim Walz — but it didn’t go particularly well. She had a bunch of lies and the optics of how it was set up were awful. Even Bill Maher and his panel mocked her over it and noted the big voter problem she faced, losing young male voters who were turning their support to former President Donald Trump.
In the wake of the DNC and the interview, she doesn’t seem to have gotten any bump in the polls.
It may just be when you try to coast on “vibes,” flip-flop on your prior positions, and don’t really share what your policies are, the American people tend not to trust you.
