White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was promoted to senior adviser to the president on Monday with just over three months remaining in President Joe Biden’s term in the White House, according to ABC News.
Jean-Pierre, who began serving as press secretary on May 13, 2022, will now join the innermost circle of Biden’s advisers, which includes Mike Donilon, Steve Richetti, and Bruce Reed. Along with serving as senior adviser to Biden, Jean-Pierre will continue her press secretary duties.
“Karine has been a trusted advisor to the President and all of us here at the White House since day one. Her counsel will be critical to get as much done as possible for the American people in the coming months,” said White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, ABC News reported.
