After four years of Jen “Circle-Back” Psaki and Karine “Challenging Kamala Harris for Queen of Word Salad Title” Jean-Pierre as White House press secretaries, Karoline Leavitt is a huge breath of fresh air. (No, I don’t mean that she’s huge, just that, by comparison – oh, you can figure it out.)
On Friday, we got to see her field a question about the SAVE Act with her usual aplomb. Here she is, speaking in response to the claim that the Act could result in married women who haven’t updated their IDs since changing their names being denied the opportunity to vote.
Voter ID & the SAVE Act
Reporter: “Will married women be blocked from voting if names don’t match ID?”
Karoline: “That is a complete fallacy.”
She cites the bill’s own language allowing for name changes and reaffirms Trump’s support for voter integrity. pic.twitter.com/voUHsyPE6N
