Pop singer Katy Perry rewrote NFL kicker Harrison Butker’s viral commencement speech for Pride Month.
The 39-year-old performer posted a heavily edited version of Butker’s address last month at Benedictine College in Kansas. Perry’s video is edited with several jump cuts to rearrange the Kansas City Chiefs kicker’s words to promote ideas opposite of those Butker espoused at the commencement ceremony, which leftists criticized as sexist and homophobic.
Perry added the caption, “Fixed this for my girls, my graduates, and my gays – you can do anything, congratulations and happy pride.”
